Renter FAQ
A government-issued photo ID for each applicant 18 or older, proof of income (recent pay stubs, an offer letter, or bank statements), and your rental history including current and prior addresses with landlord contact information. The online application takes about 10 to 15 minutes.
BRG requires one month's rent — below the 1.5-month maximum New Jersey law allows. Your deposit is placed in a compliant interest-bearing account, you receive the required written notice of where it is held, and it is returned per NJ statute after move-out with itemized documentation of any deductions.
Through the Buildium resident portal, any time of day. Every request receives a response within 24 hours. For emergencies — no heat, active leaks, no water — call the leasing line directly and the emergency escalation protocol takes over.
Online through the resident portal by bank transfer. BRG does not charge residents a fee for online payment. Your payment history is visible in the portal at all times.
